Privacy policy

What deadrisk.com collects, why, who sees it, and how to get it deleted. Effective October 29, 2026.

Who we are

DeadRisk (deadrisk.com and its YouTube channel, @deadriskzero) is operated by MMNTM Inc., 30 N Gould St, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States ("DeadRisk", "we", "us"). Questions about this policy, or requests about your data, go to greg@mmntm.net.

What we collect

Most of the site works without telling us anything about yourself. We collect personal information only in these cases:

  • Sign-in. If you sign in, we store your email address and send you a one-time sign-in link. A session cookie, deadrisk_session, keeps you signed in. Accounts are stored in a database we share with our sister service, TEXXR.
  • Email list. If you subscribe, we store your email address, the date, and the page you subscribed from. Every email we send has an unsubscribe link.
  • Usage analytics. We measure how the site is used: pages viewed, referring page, browser and device type, and approximate location derived from your IP address. Analytics run through PostHog, served from our own domain, and set a cookie or local-storage identifier to count repeat visits.
  • Server logs. Like any web server, ours records IP addresses, browser user agents, the pages requested, and timestamps.
  • Email you send us. If you write to us, we keep the message to answer it.

We do not sell personal information, show ads, or use third-party advertising trackers.

How we use it

  • To run the site and keep you signed in.
  • To send the emails you asked for, and nothing else.
  • To understand which pages are read, so we can improve them.
  • To keep the site secure: to detect abuse, debug errors, and block attacks.

Who we share it with

Only with the service providers that run the site for us, and only for that purpose:

  • Hetzner, which hosts our servers.
  • Resend, which delivers sign-in emails.
  • PostHog, which processes usage analytics.
  • TEXXR, our sister service, which stores sign-in accounts.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or ourselves.

YouTube API Services

We publish our videos to our YouTube channel with an internal tool, DeadRisk Publisher, which uses the YouTube API Services. The tool is used only by our team, and only on our own channel.

  • YouTube's terms apply. By watching our videos on YouTube or using any feature that relies on YouTube API Services, you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service.
  • Google's privacy policy applies. Google's handling of data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy (www.google.com/policies/privacy).
  • What the tool accesses. Through OAuth, which our own Google account granted, the tool reads our channel's name and ID, uploads our videos, and sets their titles, descriptions, tags, thumbnails and captions. It does not access, collect, or store information about YouTube viewers, commenters, or any other user's account.
  • What the tool stores. One OAuth refresh token for our own channel, kept on our own computer in a file only its owner can read, and the IDs of the videos we have uploaded. Nothing is shared with anyone else.
  • Revoking access. Anyone who has authorized an application to use their Google account can revoke that access at any time from Google's security settings: security.google.com/settings/security/permissions.
  • Deletion. Stored YouTube API data is refreshed or deleted at least every 30 days. If you ask us to delete data we obtained through YouTube API Services, we delete it within 7 days. Email greg@mmntm.net.

Cookies and similar storage

  • deadrisk_session: set only when you sign in, so you stay signed in.
  • An analytics identifier: lets us count repeat visits, as described above.
  • Browser storage for small conveniences, such as your progress in the arcade.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser. The site still works; you just won't stay signed in.

How long we keep it

  • Account email addresses: until you ask us to delete your account.
  • The email list: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your address. After you unsubscribe we keep a record that you opted out, so we never email you again.
  • Analytics and server logs: only as long as we need them to run and secure the site.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email greg@mmntm.net and we will answer within 30 days. Depending on where you live (for example California, the EU, or the UK), the law gives you these rights and others, including the right to object to processing and to complain to your data-protection authority. We honour them for everyone.

Security

We use HTTPS throughout, keep secrets out of our code, limit who can access stored data, and send sign-in links instead of storing passwords. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise that a breach will never happen.

Children

DeadRisk is for adults. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Significant changes will also be announced on the site.
